You can publish sales pages and your dedicated blog on an address of your own, such as offers.yourbrand.com or blog.yourbrand.com. Connecting it takes one CNAME record in your domain settings.
Why a subdomain and not the main domain?
A root domain such as yourbrand.com cannot take a CNAME record. That is a rule of the domain name system (DNS), not a rule of ours. So you choose a subdomain of your website, such as offers.yourbrand.com, and the form refuses a root domain.

What you need
A domain you own, and access to its DNS settings. You usually find them in the control panel of the company you registered the domain with, or of your hosting company. If your web designer or IT person manages the domain, they can add the record for you.
The steps
- Add the address in your account. Sign in on seomisr.com and open Domains. Pick the right section: landing-page domains, blog domains or report domains. Press "+ Connect a domain", type the subdomain you want, then continue.
- Add the record at your domain provider. The domain's card shows the record: the type CNAME, the name (the subdomain part, such as
offers), and the value we show you. Copy them exactly as shown, and save. - Press "Check now" on the domain's card. If the record is not visible yet, wait a little and try again.

The stages
The domain's card shows its status. It starts by waiting for the DNS record. Once the record is verified, we set up hosting: we add the address to our servers and issue its HTTPS certificate. When it is live, you can choose it on any order, and we publish there. If verification keeps failing, the card shows that it needs your attention, with the reason.
If your domain is on Cloudflare
Keep the cloud grey (DNS only) for this record. If it is orange, the proxy hides the real record, and we cannot confirm that it points to us.
Common questions
Will this affect my website or my email? Adding a record for a new subdomain does not change the records your website or your email already use.
How long until the record shows up? DNS changes can take anything from a few minutes to several hours.
The form says the address is connected to another account. If the address is yours, write to us and we help you sort it out.
I want to remove the domain. You can remove it from its card, unless it is set on an order we are working on. In that case, write to us.
Do I pay for hosting or the HTTPS certificate? No. We handle both.

You do not need to decide everything now. You can publish today on a subdomain we provide and move to your own address when it is ready, with the old links redirected to the new address. Write to us when you want to move.
