Rankings, traffic and sales: what we do not promise

Nobody controls search results. What we refuse to guarantee, and what we commit to on every order.

"Will you get me to the first page of Google?" The honest answer is no. No one can honestly promise that, and we will not.

What we do not guarantee

We do not, and cannot, guarantee:

  • A particular position in search results
  • A particular amount of traffic
  • That content will appear in search results
  • Enquiries or sales
  • Any other commercial outcome

Search engines make their own decisions, and no supplier controls them. So be careful with anyone who promises you the first page, in any language.

What we commit to

We commit to the work itself: the right topics, written well, published properly, with every link reported back to you. In the words of the Terms of Service, we deliver the work described in your confirmed scope, to a professional standard, and publish it as agreed.

In practice, that means:

  • Research into the words your customers type, in the language of the piece, before any writing
  • An automatic check on every sales page before publishing, and a review of every article by our production team
  • A clear total before you pay, and no automatic renewal
  • A delivery report with every link we published

So why invest in content?

An ad stops when its budget runs out. Articles and pages that answer your customers' questions stay published, and they keep working for you after the campaign ends. If your customers search in two languages, content in both answers each of them in the language they asked in. That is what we sell: published work that stays, not a guaranteed result.

Questions to ask anyone selling you SEO

  • Do you promise me a particular ranking? If the answer is yes, ask how, and who controls it.
  • What exactly will I receive, and where will it be published?
  • Will I see the link to every piece you publish?
  • Is there a subscription that renews automatically?
  • Who owns the content after I pay?
  • If I need the content in two languages, is each version researched for its own readers, and how is it priced?

The limits of our liability

Under the Terms of Service, and to the fullest extent the law allows:

  • Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data.
  • Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Judge the work yourself

Open every link in your delivery report and read it. If something does not match your brief, we correct it. And if you want to see the work before you pay anything, the free start is available once for every website.
