What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and your business name.
- The content of your brief: your field, your target domain, the goals and background you write, and any files, logos or facts you send us.
- Basic technical information when you visit the site: the pages you view, your approximate location from your IP address, and the browser you use.
We do not collect payment card details on this website.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request, price it, and agree the scope with you
- To produce and publish the work you ordered, and to send you the delivery report
- To contact you about your order, including a renewal reminder before a dedicated blog reaches the end of its year
- To keep the site working and secure
We do not sell your data, we do not rent it out, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.
Our lawful basis
We use your data to take steps at your request before a contract, and then to perform that contract. We rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the business for site analytics, fraud prevention and record keeping. Where the law requires consent, for example for non-essential cookies or marketing email, we ask for it first, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the service: hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, domain and DNS providers where you asked us to publish on your own address, and our analytics provider. They act on our instructions, and only for these purposes.
We share data with no one else, except where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. Some providers operate outside your country; where that happens, we rely on standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Order records and correspondence: while we work with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards, to answer questions about past work and to meet accounting and tax obligations, normally up to 7 years.
- Delivery reports: issued without an expiry date, and kept available so your links keep working.
- Enquiries that never became orders: deleted within 12 months.
- Analytics data: kept in aggregate.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop certain uses of it, or ask for it in a portable format. We normally act on a request within 30 days, free of charge.
Deleting your data may mean we can no longer maintain content we published for you, and we tell you clearly if that is the case before acting. If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses essential cookies that make it work, such as remembering your session and protecting forms from abuse; these cannot be switched off without breaking the site. It also remembers whether you chose English or Arabic. We use simple analytics to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
A note on your links
The delivery report link opens the report and that order's enquiries to anyone who has it, while the client portal link is personal. Share your links with care.
